In the past few years, a number of goods and products have been imported to USA that includes diamonds, machinery, carpets, textiles and ready-made garments, footwear and leather products, dyes, iron and steel products, chemicals, edible fruit and nuts and spices, coffee and tea. All these products together constitute about 70 % of the total U.S import. In addition to the traditional trade in goods, U.S. import also includes a large number of software exported from India.
